Frequently Asked Questions
At Dhillon Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, we look forward to putting your mind at ease when it comes to addressing you and your loved ones’ oral health needs. Below, you can find answers to some of the most common questions Dr. Dhillon and the rest of our team receive on a regular basis. If you still don’t find the information you’re looking for, you’re always welcome to contact our Ware, MA practice directly.
Why is a dental implant the best option for replacing a missing tooth?
Do you see children?
Definitely. Like our practice name implies, we’re welcoming to patients of all ages and every member of your family! Our team members and Dr. Dhillon will always take a gentle and patient approach when caring for your son or daughter, and many of our services are kid-friendly and available to help them maintain a healthy, strong smile throughout those crucial first years.
I’ve lost a tooth. What are my options for replacing it?
Our practice features several choices, including dental implants, bridges, and dentures. Dr. Dhillon strongly recommends dental implants as the most effective option, as they revitalize your oral health while also providing a beautiful, functional replacement tooth. In fact, bridges and dentures can be modernized with dental implants!
We understand that this option isn’t right for everyone, though, which is why traditional bridges and dentures are also available. During your initial consultation, we can review the benefits of each service with you in greater detail so that you feel confident about your final decision.
Will I need to see a specialist to have my dental implants placed?
Not at all. Dr. Dhillon has undergone over 100 hours of advanced training in implant dentistry, and she is capable of surgically placing implants right here in her office.
Can you improve my smile’s appearance?
Of course! Our lengthy menu of services features several options that are designed to improve the aesthetic value of your teeth, including porcelain veneers, Invisalign, teeth whitening, metal-free restorations, and more.
Do I have to wait for two appointments to get a new dental crown?
No. With the power of our state-of-the-art CEREC technology, it’s now possible for our team to take dental impressions, design a new, custom-made restoration, mill it right here in-office, and place the finished product over the broken/damaged tooth in just a single appointment – no waiting required!
My gums are bleeding when I brush and floss. Should I be worried?
Oral bleeding is most likely a sign of periodontal disease, which can threaten your healthy teeth and overall wellbeing if it isn’t cared for early in its development. Here in Ware, Dr. Dhillon offers several periodontal services that can eliminate harmful infection and help sustain your gum health.
Do you take insurance?
We are in-network with BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, and Delta Dental, but we also accept several other major plans, such as Aflac, MetLife, and others. To learn more, visit our new patients page.
